Fun activity my students enjoyed. Students have to find the word classes and fig language (and explain the effects) in the song, Maneater. I have attached the classic version as well as the version in the recent film, No Hard Feelings with Jennifer Lawrence.

Daisy May-Cooper (comedian, This Country) has outlined 11 questions to help you create vivid and interesting characters e.g. Q4) What posters / pictures would this character have on their bedroom wall? Q5) How successful is this character romantically? Are Q9) If person was caught telling a lie, how would they react? She also uses characters from today’s culture to give great examples. My students really enjoyed this and it helped them create their short stories.
